MARK YOUR CALENDARS! WE’RE MAKING PIROHY!!! ADVENT PIROHY-MAKING: SATURDAY, December 6th. We need volunteers. Potato ballers come at 7am and pinchers come at 8:15am. Our sale date is the weekend of December 13/14 after all masses, while supplies last. Cost is $12/dozen.
CATHOLIC MINISTRIES APPEAL 2025--HELP US REACH OUR GOAL! Thank you to all parishioners who have already made a commitment to this year’s Appeal. We invite all parishioners who have not yet made a gift this year to make a commitment to this year’s Appeal. We would like to reach our parish goal by December 31st--commitments made now can be paid through June 30, 2026. Our goal this year is $72,234. By supporting the Catholic Ministries Appeal, you help sustain vital ministries across the eleven counties of the Diocese of Scranton. United in faith and hope, we are able to care for the needs of our neighbors throughout Northeastern and North Central Pennsylvania. Envelopes are on the tables at the church entrance.
​THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS GIVING TREE Each year our parish reaches out to members of our parish & community who are in need of help for the holidays. If you, or someone you know is struggling, please contact Lori, Pastoral Associate, in our parish office: 570-287-6624. All calls are confidential. For Thanksgiving, if you are able, we are asking for Grocery Store gift cards from Gerrity’s or Price Chopper. Please put in an envelope, & mark “THANKSGIVING”. You may drop in collection basket, office door mail slot, mail, or bring to rectory. For Christmas, we are having our ’CHRISTMAS GIVING TREE”, with the Gift tags for children & families in need, & our parishioners who are in nursing homes or home bound. By the weekend of Nov. 22/23, the Christmas Tree will be placed near the Reconciliation Room, with the gift tags attached. We are asking that the WRAPPED gifts with the TAGS ATTACHED be returned by December 14th. Thank you so much for whatever you can do. May God bless your kindness and generosity!!!!!!!!!!
PAINTING OF THE CHURCH

SOCIAL CONCERNS ANNUAL COVERED DISH CHRISTMAS SOCIAL FRIDAY, December 5th, at 6pm in the church hall. Members of other parish organizations are invited to attend. If you have a special dish you would like to share, please bring it along. Hope to see you there.
SOCIAL CONCERNS ANNUAL CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS MOVIE NIGHT FRIDAY, December 12th, 6-8 pm in our church hall. Classic movies will be shown. Sign up sheets are on the tables at the church entrance.
TOYS FOR TOTS Once again, we will be collecting new toys for children of all ages to be donated to the Marines Toys for Tots program. Drop off locations/deadlines: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church hall: Dec. 8th and Swoyersville Borough Bldg Lobby: Dec. 8th. Also members from all communities are invited to join us on Dec. 10th when the Marines will be with us at a dinner meeting to pick up these donations.
LETTERS TO SANTA Letters/Christmas Lists from children in all communities can be sent to Santa via Santa’s Elf Express Mailbox located at the Swoyersville American Legion, Shoemaker St., Swoyersville. Each child will receive a personalized letter from Santa so get your letter in early. Santa Coloring Postcards are available at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church vestibule, Swoyersville American Legion, & Swoyersville Boro Bldg lobby. Children can color them, write their list & just place them in the mailbox (see above). Don’t forget your name & address.
